My name is Matthew Kaplan and I just started writing software for NVIDIA in San Jose. I just spent the last few years doing my postdoctorate with the Labri group at Bordeaux I and before that with the ARTIS group at INRIA Rhone-Alpes in Grenoble, France. I did my PhD work in Computer Graphics at the University of Utah. I got my undergraduate degree in Studio Art and Computer Science from Bowdoin college.
